Tips How to prevent heart disease for All ages



It is irrelevant to say "too young" or "too old" to keep the heart healthy. According to statistics on Health Research and Development Agency Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, of a total of 41 590 deaths in Indonesia, 21.1 per cent are caused by stroke, and 19.1 percent from heart disease and coronary.
 
Lack of exercise, poor diet and unhealthy habits can be fatal impact on health. Preventing heart disease means making wise and smart choices you'll enjoy a lifetime.

1. Choose a healthy diet
The food you eat can increase the risk of heart disease and stroke. Therefore choose foods that are low in saturated fat, trans fat, and sodium. As part of a healthy diet, the consumption of vegetables and fruits, whole grains are rich in fiber, fish (at least twice a week), nuts, legumes, and grains. Try not to eat too much meat. Choose low-fat dairy products and poultry without skin. Limit sugary drinks and red meat. If you choose to eat meat, choose the least fat. 

2. Be active
You can slowly do moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity such as brisk walking at least 150 minutes or 2.5 hours per week or 1 hour and 15 minutes (75 minutes) of high-intensity aerobic physical activity such as running and jogging or a combination of both each week.
In addition, you can do muscle strengthening exercises either in the legs, hips, back, abdomen, shoulders, and arms for two days or more. Children should be active at least 60 minutes per day.

3. Add the knowledge about heart health
Never too late to learn the symptoms of heart attack and stroke, because not all people feel numb when exposed to sudden stroke or heart severe pain when a heart attack. In addition it should be observed, the symptoms of heart attack in women are different from men.
